Yealink MeetingBar A50
The 4K room bar for medium & large meeting rooms in Dubai

Last board call, three faces froze on screen and the mic picked up the air conditioning instead of the CFO. The room doesn't have a technology problem. It has the wrong bar under the screen. The A50 runs the meeting itself — triple cameras that follow whoever speaks, 16 microphones that reach the end of the table, and a processor fast enough to frame four speakers at once. One bar. We supply, configure and install it across the UAE.

You have a meeting tomorrow. Here's exactly what this bar does.

Not the marketing version. The firmware version. Every number below is verified against Yealink's current technical documentation — because a wrong spec on this page means a wrong room, and a wrong room means a bad meeting that has your name on it.

⬛ YEALINK MEETINGBAR A50 · CURRENT GENERATION
MeetingBar A50 Teams & Zoom Certified Triple 50MP — 1 wide + 2 telephoto 16-mic array · 10m pickup · 4 speakers Qualcomm 8550 · Android 13 · MDEP Dual HDMI (2 TVs) From AED 11,500

Read the camera spec correctly: the A50 uses a triple 50MP system — one wide-angle and two telephoto lenses working together — not a single sensor. Pages that list it as a single camera or quote the wrong megapixels are describing an older or different model. The audio pickup is rated to 10 metres on the built-in 16-mic array, before any expansion mics.
Which Bar · Match the Room

The A50 isn't the only MeetingBar — it's the one for bigger rooms

Yealink makes one bar for every room size. Putting an A50 in a two-person huddle wastes money; putting an A10 in a boardroom means the far end can't hear. Match the bar to the room first — then talk options.

A10
Huddle & home office
2–5 people. Single 4K camera, 120° lens. The small-room bar — the right answer when a glass huddle pod just needs to be on Teams.
2–5 People
A30
Standard meeting room
Up to ~8 people. Optical-zoom camera with privacy shutter and AI framing for the everyday meeting room that needs more reach than a huddle bar.
Medium Room
A50
Medium-to-large & boardroom
7–15 people. Triple 50MP camera, 16-mic array and the Qualcomm 8550 brain — and the only bar here that scales with expansion mics, ceiling audio, a second camera and room booking.
7–15 People · Scales
The honest line for buyers
If the room seats more than six or eight people, or has a long or wide table, the A50 is the bar that keeps the far end seen and heard — and the only one that grows when the room grows. Below that, an A30 or A10 saves money without losing the meeting. We'll size it with you before you spend.
Two SKUs · How You Control It

A50-031 with touch console, or A50-010 with remote

The A50 ships two ways. The bar is identical — what changes is how the room controls it. This is the most common point of confusion at order time, so here it is plainly.

Choose A50-031 (CTP25 touch console) when:
  • It's a real meeting room people walk into and use daily
  • You want one-tap join, share, camera and volume from the table
  • You're running Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms properly
  • You'll add room booking or scheduling later
A50-010 (VCR11 remote) makes sense when:
  • Budget is tight or the room is used occasionally
  • A handheld remote is enough — no touch console needed
  • You may add the CTP25 console later

Both run the same triple-camera, 16-mic hardware and the same Teams/Zoom firmware. The console is about daily ease-of-use in a shared room — not capability.

Triple Camera · AI Framing

The camera followed the whiteboard. The far end saw sticky notes instead of the speaker.

That's a single-camera bar. The A50 has three lenses — one wide-angle (110° DFOV) that holds the whole room, two telephoto (51° DFOV each) that pull in close-ups of whoever is speaking. The Qualcomm 8550's 48 TOPS of AI processing decides what to show the far end, in real time, without anyone touching a remote.

🎯
IntelliFocus — up to 4 split-screen speakers
Horizontal conference rooms: the A50 shows simultaneous close-ups of up to 4 speakers with a Room View at the bottom. When a 5th person speaks, the least-active speaker is swapped out. Configure speaker quantity, RoomView on/off, panoramic display, portrait sorting and PIP all from the CTP25 console or the web UI.
Firmware 323.320.0.45+
🔍
Auto Framing + Speaker Tracking
Auto Framing keeps the group in frame as people move in and out. Speaker Tracking detects who is talking and zooms the telephoto lens to them — with a configurable timer so the camera doesn't switch abruptly when two people overlap. Both work identically in USB BYOD mode from firmware 323.320.0.54.
Works in USB Mode too
🚧
Video Fence — define the room boundary
Glass walls and open offices let reflections and passers-by trigger the camera. Video Fence lets you mark the meeting boundary; the camera ignores anyone beyond it. Set it via the CTP25 (Teams: More ▸ Settings ▸ Device Settings ▸ Camera ▸ Advanced ▸ Video Fence / Zoom: Settings ▸ General ▸ System Settings ▸ Camera ▸ Advanced ▸ Video Fence).
All platforms
🔐
Electric privacy shutter
A physical lens cap that closes automatically when no meeting is active. Not a software privacy filter — a real mechanical barrier. Low-light performance: F/2.0–F/2.4 aperture, 0.5 lux minimum illumination in normal lighting, 0.1 lux in low-light mode. Boardrooms with dim ambient lighting aren't a problem.
Physical, not software
📐
9 preset positions + electronic gimbal
Nine camera preset positions save a room's preferred views. The electronic gimbal smooths pan and tilt transitions. Combined with IntelliFocus priority zones, an IT team can pre-configure exactly which part of the room the camera prioritises for regular meetings.
Configurable from CTP25
🤖
Multi-stream IntelliFrame with Copilot — MTR-W only
Microsoft's Copilot multi-stream IntelliFrame is available on the A50 — but only when deployed as a USB camera on an MTR-W (Teams Rooms on Windows) system such as the MVC S50, not on the standard Android A50. If a customer specifically wants Copilot-style multi-stream framing, confirm their deployment is MTR-W before quoting.
MTR-W only — verify first
16-Mic Array · Expansion · Ceiling

The person at the end of the table said something important. The far end heard nothing.

That's what happens when the mic can't reach. The A50's 16-mic MEMS array picks up voices from 10 metres with beamforming, noise reduction and de-reverb. The far end hears a clean voice, not the room. And two features most pages never surface — Acoustic Shield and the expansion mic system — take the A50's audio further than anything in its class.

16
Mics, 10m pickup
MEMS array with beamforming, AI noise reduction and acoustic echo cancellation. Full-duplex — both sides can speak simultaneously without audio clipping. The far end hears a voice, not the room.
2 × 10W stereo speakers
🛡
Acoustic Shield — the audio fence
In open offices or glass-walled rooms, the mic hears everything. The Acoustic Shield defines a pickup zone — the system then ignores audio from outside that boundary. This is the audio equivalent of Video Fence. Configure sensitivity on the web UI. A feature most room bar spec sheets leave out entirely.
Critical for UAE open offices
+4
Expansion mics — important caveat
The datasheet says 3 expansion mics (CM20/CS10/VCM35/VCM36). Firmware 323.320.0.54 expands this: up to 4× CM20 ceiling mics and 4× CS10 ceiling speakers. The higher number reflects the ceiling audio family. Confirm the exact combination and firmware version before publishing a bundle. The wired VCM35 tabletop mic is the safe 3-mic interpretation; the ceiling combination is the expanded one.
Verify firmware before quoting
Never mix microphone types: The A50 does not support mixing wired tabletop mics (VCM35) with ceiling mics (CM20/CS10) in the same installation. Choose one family for the room — wired tabletop or ceiling. Mixing creates phase and gain issues that degrade the audio quality you just paid for.
Content Sharing · Six Methods · Resolution Matrix

The client opened their MacBook. The system didn't recognise it. The presentation started five minutes late.

That five minutes costs credibility. The A50 handles six sharing methods — wired and wireless, Mac and Windows, with and without network access. The method determines the resolution. This matrix comes from Yealink's admin guide — every resolution figure is verified against the current firmware documentation.

Miracast requires Mode 2: The A50 cannot run Miracast and Wi-Fi simultaneously. Mode 2 enables Miracast but disables the A50's Wi-Fi — the bar must be on Ethernet. Tell IT before quoting a Miracast deployment so they don't plan for Wi-Fi-only installation. Mode 1 keeps Wi-Fi active but disables Miracast. AirPlay across VLANs: If Apple devices and meeting bars are on different subnets (common in enterprise), standard mDNS discovery fails. The fix: enable AirPlay Beacon in the web UI (System ▸ ScreenCast). The A50 broadcasts its IP via Bluetooth Low Energy; Apple devices read it and add the bar to the AirPlay list without needing mDNS routing.

CTP25 Touch Console · Room Control

Someone walks into the room and spends two minutes pressing buttons on the remote. The meeting starts late again.

The CTP25 replaces that. A 10.1" touch console on the conference table — one tap to join, one tap to share, one tap to adjust the camera. No remote. No laptop needed. No IT call. It connects to the A50 with one cable and the room is live.

🔗
One-cable login
Connect a USB-C cable from the CTP25 to the A50. The console logs in automatically. From firmware 323.320.0.54, the CTP25 and A50 also pair in offline environments — air-gapped deployments work without cloud registration.

🌐
Remote IT pairing
From firmware 323.320.0.45, the A50 and CTP25 pair over a public network — useful when IT wants to commission a room remotely without sending someone on-site. The console can also be managed through YMCS alongside the bar.
Firmware 323.320.0.45+
CTP25 vs RoomConnect vs cloud — what each controls
  • CTP25 (in-room console) — Camera Mode, framing, volume, sharing, meeting control, IntelliFocus priority zones. The standard for any properly fitted room.
  • Yealink RoomConnect (software on the connected PC) — switches USB mode on/off; configures IntelliFocus and Video Fence in USB/BYOD mode. IT use.
  • YMCS / Teams Admin Center / Zoom Device Management — firmware updates, remote reboot, screenshot capture, policy deployment at fleet scale. Admin use.
Platforms · BYOD · YeaCast

Your office runs Teams. Your client uses Zoom. Someone joins on their phone. The A50 handles all of them.

Natively certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, BlueJeans and RingCentral. That means one-tap join, native meeting controls and the full AI camera system — no adapters, no browser tab workaround. The A50 runs Zoom Rooms as a certified appliance straight out of the box.

✔️
Microsoft Teams Rooms + MDEP
Runs Teams Rooms on Android natively. MDEP (Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform) support from firmware 323.320.0.45 — enterprise security, streamlined deployment, Intune/Teams Admin Center management. Managed from TAC or the Pro Management Portal.

Three ways to do BYOD
1. USB-B cable (Wired Device Mode) — connect a USB-B cable from laptop to A50; the bar becomes the laptop's camera, mic and speaker. Best quality, no network dependency. 2. YeaCast (IP BYOD) — install the YeaCast app (Win/macOS), connect over the local network; switch the room into BYOD mode and join any third-party app (Webex, Google Meet, etc.) using the A50's full AV. 3. WPP30 / PA20 pods — plug the dongle, press the button; wireless BYOD for frequent presenters who don't want a cable.

🚀
Stays smart in BYOD
In USB BYOD mode, from firmware 323.320.0.54, the A50's AI framing (IntelliFocus, Speaker Tracking, Auto Framing, Video Fence, priority zones) all remain active. The laptop uses the A50 as a USB camera and gets the full intelligent framing experience — not a static wide-angle shot.

🔧
BYOD admin controls
IT can tune the BYOD experience per room: enable/disable BYOD entirely, set auto-turn-on (no confirmation prompt), and configure the countdown timer (0–60 seconds) for the BYOD handoff pop-up. Executive rooms get instant handoff; standard rooms can prompt. Configure via web UI under System ▸ UC Provider.

🌍
BlueJeans + RingCentral Rooms
Native support for BlueJeans and RingCentral Rooms from firmware 323.320.0.45. Organisations on Avaya/RingCentral UCaaS or running hybrid estates don't need a separate device. All four platforms in one bar.
RingCentral Rooms 25.4.10
Scale · Second Camera · Ceiling Audio

The room grew. The headcount doubled. The system you installed six months ago can't keep up.

That doesn't happen with the A50. Add a second camera for a wider space. Add ceiling microphones and speakers for a clean table. Add professional room audio. The A50 supports all of it in the same ecosystem — no rip-out, no replacement, no re-cabling.

📷
MTower — second camera on the table
A compact table camera that gives participants at the end of a long table a dedicated close-up. Connects to the A50 via the VCH port. Supports IntelliVision in Speaker Tracking and IntelliFocus modes. From firmware 323.320.0.54, the UVC86 pan-tilt-zoom camera also connects via the VCH port for camera switching (image splicing not yet available).
🏗️
CM20 + CS10 — ceiling mic and speaker
For rooms where a clean table is required or a U-shaped layout makes tabletop mics impractical. CM20 ceiling microphone + CS10 ceiling speaker, connected to the A50's VCH ports. From firmware 323.320.0.54, the A50 supports up to 4× CM20 and 4× CS10 for large-room ceiling audio coverage.
🎛️
AP08 — professional room audio
The AP08 audio processor adds amplified speaker outputs, line-in/out connections and integration with professional room audio systems. For rooms already wired with ceiling or in-ceiling speakers. Supported from firmware 323.320.0.45.
📋
VCH51 — BYOD and content sharing hub
Connects to the A50 directly or via a PoE switch for long-table flexibility. Gives guests a USB-C or HDMI cable to share content from their laptop without needing wireless access. Content shares automatically when the cable is connected.
Room Booking · Intelligent Release · Native

The room was booked at 10AM. Nobody showed up. The 11AM meeting has nowhere to go.

Ghost bookings cost more than one wasted room — they cascade. Yealink's own RoomPanel and RoomSensor Pro solve this natively, in the same ecosystem as the bar, managed in the same platform. The room detects whether anyone actually showed up. If not, it releases the booking back to the calendar. No third party required.

📅
RoomPanel Plus E2 — the door display
10.1" Android 13 display mounts on the door. Signs into the room's calendar account — Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, Zoom or Google — over PoE. Shows current status, upcoming bookings and lets anyone book ad-hoc by tapping. Book centrally in Outlook/Teams/Google as usual; the panel reflects it live. NFC/RFID check-in supported. The older RoomPanel Plus (Android 11) is end-of-sale — specify the E2 when ordering.
RoomPanel Plus E2 — current model
👥
RoomSensor Pro — intelligent release
A genuine Yealink product (part 1303123) that pairs to the RoomPanel over Bluetooth (BLE 5.2). Counts actual occupants — AI people-counting across up to 8 configurable zones in a 50 m² footprint. If the room is empty, it tells the panel to release the booking. Two release modes: check-in countdown (panel only, no sensor needed) and presence-based (sensor confirms the room is genuinely empty). Also reports temperature, humidity and light — feeds IoT hooks for HVAC and lighting automation, unified in YMCS with the A50 rooms.
Not the ROOMZ Sensor — a Yealink product
🌿
ROOMZ — the third-party option
For rooms with no AV budget, renovation deadlines, government/origin-sensitive buyers or hybrid flex-desk programmes, ROOMZ offers a Swiss-made e-ink booking display that runs 4 years on a battery with no cabling — it bridges your existing M365/Exchange/Google calendar. We carry ROOMZ as a cross-sell when the Yealink-native solution doesn't fit the brief. We lead Yealink-native; ROOMZ only when origin, ESG or no-AV forces it.
Third-party — situational only

Yealink MeetingBar A50 — frequently asked questions

Is the A50 too much bar for my room — or not enough?
The A50 is designed for medium-to-large meeting rooms — typically 7 to 15 people. Yealink's own room-size guide places the A50 at this range, above the A30 (medium rooms, up to around 8 people) and the A10 (huddle/home office, 2–5 people). The A50's triple camera, 16-mic array and expansion capability make it the right choice when the table is long, the room is wide, or you expect the room to grow.
Do I really need the touch console, or is the remote enough?
Both models contain the same A50 bar with identical camera, audio and processing hardware. The difference is the control device in the box. The A50-010 includes a VCR11 handheld remote — suited to rooms where a touch console isn't required or budget is tight. The A50-031 includes the CTP25 touch console, which mounts on the conference table and gives one-tap meeting join, framing control, sharing and volume without touching the bar on the wall. For any room used daily by multiple people, the A50-031 is the recommended choice.
We use Zoom, not Teams. Will this bar still work?
The A50 is natively certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms (Android), Zoom Rooms, BlueJeans and RingCentral Rooms. "Natively certified" means it runs each platform as a first-class Rooms appliance — one-tap join, full meeting controls, AI camera integration — with no adapters, no HDMI bridge, no browser workaround. The A50 runs Zoom Rooms as a certified appliance and does not require any additional hardware to operate on the Zoom platform.
What happens when someone brings their own laptop to the meeting?
Yes — three ways. USB-B cable (Wired Device Mode): connect a USB-B cable from your laptop to the A50; the bar becomes the laptop's camera, microphone and speaker. YeaCast: install the free YeaCast app (Windows or macOS), connect over the local network, and the A50 works as a room AV peripheral for any third-party app including Cisco Webex and Google Meet. Wireless pods: the WPP30 or PA20 dongle plugs into the laptop's USB-A port — press the button to share. In all BYOD modes, the A50's AI framing remains active from firmware 323.320.0.54.
The table seats 16. Will the microphones reach the end?
The built-in 16-mic MEMS array has a 10-metre pickup radius — enough for most medium-to-large boardrooms. For very long tables or U-shaped conference rooms, the A50 supports expansion: the datasheet lists up to 3 expansion mic units (VCM35 wired tabletop, CM20 ceiling mic, VCM36 wireless). Firmware 323.320.0.54 extends ceiling audio to up to 4× CM20 and 4× CS10 for large rooms. Important: do not mix wired tabletop mics and ceiling mics in the same installation — choose one family.
Can I put participants on one screen and the presentation on another?
Yes. The A50 has two HDMI outputs, both active simultaneously. In dual-display mode, the first screen shows meeting participants and the second screen is dedicated to shared content — keeping people and content separated at the front of the room. Both outputs support up to 4K 30fps (and 1080p 60fps). The A50 also supports HDMI CEC, so it can automatically wake and sleep connected displays.
Do we need the CTP25 touch console, or can the room work without it?
The room works without the CTP25 — the A50-010 ships with a VCR11 handheld remote and operates normally. The CTP25 adds convenience: one-tap join, framing control from the table, wired sharing hub and the ability to configure IntelliFocus priority zones without going into the web UI. For rooms used daily by multiple people in shared-desk environments, the CTP25 reduces the friction that makes meetings start late.
Our rooms get booked and nobody shows up. Can the A50 fix that?
Yes — with Yealink's own RoomPanel Plus E2 and RoomSensor Pro. The RoomPanel (10.1" touch display) mounts on the door and integrates with your existing Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, Zoom or Google calendar. The RoomSensor Pro (a genuine Yealink product, part 1303123) pairs to the panel over Bluetooth and detects real occupancy across up to 8 zones in a 50 m² space. If the room is empty after the booking starts, the sensor releases the slot back to the calendar automatically. Both the panel and bar are managed in YMCS. No third-party booking system required.
Will our IT security team approve this bar?
The A50 supports MDEP (Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform), 802.1x network authentication (EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS, EAP-MSCHAPv2, EAP-TTLS), custom TLS certificate management, AES 128 data encryption and OpenVPN client. It integrates with Active Directory and OpenLDAP for directory dialling. Physical privacy is provided by the electric lens cap — a mechanical shutter, not software. For government and financial sector buyers, these controls meet the standard enterprise security checklist.
