For wireless casting — no, on every model: AirPlay, Miracast and the dongle all work without installing anything. For wireless conferencing it depends on the dongle: the D20 delivers full wireless conferencing with zero software — nothing installed at any point in the meeting — which is why it is the right choice for rooms hosting guests on locked-down corporate laptops. The D30 casts without software, but its camera and speakerphone return for conferencing uses a desktop application, in exchange for 4K30 dongle casting with audio. All three are USB-C dongles for one-click sharing. The D10 (pairs with W50) is casting-only — it does not control the room's USB camera or speakerphone. The D20 (pairs with W80 and W90) adds the wireless conference button: the room camera and speakerphone connect to your laptop with zero software installed. The D30 (pairs with W90) casts at up to 4K30 with audio and supports camera and speakerphone return through a desktop application, with separate casting and conference buttons. Yes. eShare is platform-agnostic: the meeting runs on your laptop, so Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex or any other platform uses the room camera, microphone and speakers once the wireless link is active. There is no platform lock-in and no room-system subscription.

eShare works with standard USB conferencing devices through its three USB 3.0 ports.
